SEBI Squeezes position limits in Permitted currency pairs for currency derivative contracts

SEBI has revised the client level position limits for trading in cross-currency derivative contracts. For USD-INR, gross open position across all contracts will not exceed 6% of the total open interest or USD 20 million, whichever is higher. Earlier, the limit was USD 10 million. It applies to NRIs and Category II FPIs.
