RBI specifies conditions for opening and maintenance of a Subsidiary General Ledger account

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has specified the conditions for an eligible entity to open and maintain only one Subsidiary General Ledger (SGL) account. However, Bank may allow an entity to open additional SGL accounts after specified the additional condition. The SGL account can be opened at its Public Debt Offices and account holder shall not be eligible to open a constituent account without specific approval from the Bank.
